STRATEGY

Alfred Berg Pengemarked is a Norwegian money market* fund that invests in certificates, bonds and deposits with interest regulation within 12 months. The instrument issuers’ are primarily government, municipalities, county authorities, industrial companies and financial institutions that has a credit rating equivalent to investment grade, BBB-/Baaa3 or better. The fund can invest in up to 15% in subordinated bonds. The credit risk of the fund is limited by thorough analysis of the issuers’ financial status and ability to repay interest coupon and principal. The credit risk is also limited by restrictions to a weighted average life of maximum 1,5 years. The aim of the fund is to provide shareholders with a return that exceeds the benchmark of the fund by exposure towards a well diversified portfolio of solid companies. Normally the money market* interest rate has been higher than the bank deposit interest rate. Modified duration will always be somewhere between 0 and 1 and therefore the fund has a low interest rate risk. The benchmark is Oslo Government Bond Index, 6 months. The fund is a UCITS fund with the possibility to invest in derivatives.
