Alfred Berg Obligasjon – Norwegian Credit Investment Grade
Norwegian – Mid Risk – Diversification – Mid Duration – NOK Exposure**
Alfred Berg Obligasjon is a fixed income fund that invests in bonds and money market* instruments issued in Norwegian Krona. The instrument issuers’ are primarily governments, municipalities, county authorities, industrial companies and financial institutions that has a credit rating equivalent to investment grade, BBB-/Baaa3 or better. The fund has the possibility to invest up to 20 % of the portfolio in subordinated bonds. Alfred Berg Obligasjon is an actively managed bond fund. The fund composition is a result of the Portfolio Manager view on single issuers, macro economy and interest rate development, including possible changes in market structure of framework. Modified duration is adjusted based on future expectations in the interest rate development, but will always be somewhere between 2 and 4. The bond interest rate is usually higher than the short money market* interest rate. In periods where the interest rates are dropping the fund will experience an increase in bond value and therefore a higher total return than the interest rate return alone would indicate. Meanwhile, in markets where interest rates are increasing, the fund will experience a decrease in bond value. The fund has moderate credit risk and is well diversified, but will nonetheless be affected by market view changes on single issuers or sector spreads.
